Today is day 50 of the 100 day challenge! I've actually managed to not miss a day! And enjoy it in the process. I'm halfway through (in case you're bad at math). For my drawing today I'm working on a cute little neighborhood street. That drawing is currently sitting on my art table at home (I'm at a coffee shop), waiting to be filled in with watercolor, I think. A little more detailed and involved than I've been doing for my daily patterns, but it IS day 50. On the way here (Jola Cafe) I more-so noticed all the lovely shapes and patterns in the houses on the way, because I had just been drawing my own made-up street. It makes me want to draw more houses! We'll see. Portland has such charming houses. More importantly, if you follow me at all on social media you know that this week we found out we are having a baby boy! And so I now have blue hair, and baby is growing. We are 19 WEEKS away from the due date, people. Lots of different emotions accompany that sentence. Because of my blue-themed news, I've wanted to draw blue things the last two days. Another recent drawing I really liked was drawn in the car on the way home from a fun one-night backpacking adventure with friends that were visiting us from Texas I was pretty tired, and the road was bumpy, but I was also very content while drawing that. Here are a few of pictures if you are interested in that sort of thing.
