One of the concepts I most remember from high school science (I think physics?) was entropy.  What is ordered will tend to become disordered.  Though really the concept is way more involved than that, what I remember basically is that things in our world inevitably turn to chaos. No arguements there.  You see this play out all around us.....  Such as in my house (and I'm sure everyone's house who is reading this).  You have to fight to keep things ordered.  (And I don't think that is how God created the world to be, but that things have been broken and need fixing by Him, just as an aside)

To that end, I'm taking an idea from Pinterest and working towards slowly deep cleaning and organizing our house.  I've made a list of all the spaces I would like to organize/deep clean and everyday I'm going to try and cross one off.
The idea is that each task should take no longer than an hour, so it's not so overwhelming. Sure maybe I'll skip a day sometimes, or maybe I'll do two on one day--but it will get done.  Here's my list.

You can see I already went through our medicine cabinet and my closet.  Today I did our study closet--which definitely took more than an hour, because that is the closet where we put everything that we don't know what to do with (plus all my pants/skirts/dresses.  Yes my clothes take up two closets.....). But I feel so great now that it's finished!  So here are some grainy pictures to share my process.

After! Note particularly the top shelf and the floor.
Phew, it might not look that much different to you, but it is loads better.

And yes we might have to have another garage sale when this is all said and done....

I'm also in the process of painting something.

So stay tuned for more on that.
